Communicate with Confidence

Feel more in control when you speak — in meetings, presentations, and the moments at work that matter.

A six-week group programme for professionals who want to speak up with more confidence.

Over six weeks you'll deliver three presentations, receive personalised feedback on each one, and practise in a live, supportive group of no more than six people.

You won't just learn what to do. You'll actually do it - week by week, in a setting that's safe enough to feel comfortable and real enough to build genuine confidence.

Most participants are capable professionals who want to feel more confident and more effective when speaking at work.

They're not looking to become professional speakers — they simply want their speaking to reflect the quality of their thinking.

If any of these sound familiar:

●   You know what you want to say, but it doesn't always come out clearly under pressure

●   You hold back in meetings, even when you have something useful to add

●   You avoid presentations, and it's starting to hold you back

●   You leave meetings wishing you'd said something differently

And you're ready to do something about it — this programme is designed for you.

Does this sound familiar?

  • You look confident on the outside — but inside, you’re second-guessing every word.

  • In meetings, your heart races. You rehearse your point in your head… and then someone else says it.

  • When you do speak up, you worry you’re waffling. You finish and wonder, did that even make sense?

  • You know you’re capable and confident in your role — but when it comes to presenting or speaking up, it feels like your confidence vanishes.

  • And deep down, you know this is holding you back from being seen, heard, and valued.

It's more common than you think, and it's something that changes with the right structure and practice.

Speaking with confidence isn’t about being loud or extroverted. It’s about structure, practice, and the right kind of support.

And that’s exactly what this programme is designed to give you.

Your calm nature and professionalism made the whole course comfortable and engaging. I feel more confident now and have the tools in the bag for what’s next.

Why I created this programme

Most of the people I work with are already good at what they do.
They’re capable, experienced, and confident in their role.

But when it comes to speaking up in meetings or delivering presentations, something shifts.

They overthink. They hold back. Or they speak - and feel like they didn’t quite get their point across.

After working with clients one-to-one for years, I started to notice a pattern.
It wasn’t just about knowing what to say. People needed a way to practise, get feedback, and build confidence over time.

That’s where the group format makes a real difference.

In a small, supportive group, you’re not just learning from me - you’re learning from each other. You get the chance to try things out, hear different approaches, and build confidence week by week.

It’s practical, it’s focused, and it reflects the kinds of situations you’re dealing with at work.

By the end of the programme, you’re not starting from scratch every time you need to speak.
You have a clear way to structure your thoughts, and the confidence to follow through.

That's the shift this programme is designed to help you make.

Your 6-Week Plan

This is an online public speaking course, delivered live on Zoom. It is a practical, structured programme.
You won’t just learn what to do - you’ll practise it.

  • Learn a simple way to structure your thoughts so you can speak clearly, even under pressure

  • Deliver short presentations and refine them each week

  • Get specific, personalised feedback on what’s working and what to improve

  • Practise speaking in a small, supportive group (max 6 participants)

  • Build a structure you can use again and again in meetings and presentations

Over the six weeks, you’ll deliver three short presentations (3 minutes, then 5 minutes twice), giving you the chance to apply what you’re learning and see your progress.

By the end, you won’t be starting from scratch every time you need to speak - you’ll have a clear way to structure your message and the confidence to follow through.

“In just a few classes I learned the importance of structure and storytelling - skills I now have to help me deliver a much more confident pitch”

— Pauline Forde

What makes this programme different?

It's a small group - maximum six people. That means you get personal feedback on your actual presentations, not generic advice. You practise in front of real people, in a setting that's supportive enough to feel safe but real enough to build genuine confidence.

It's built around your working life. The skills you develop - structuring your message, speaking with presence, thinking on your feet - are the ones you need every time you present or speak up at work. Not theoretical exercises.

And it's structured. Over six weeks you build week by week. By the end, you're not starting from scratch every time you need to speak. You have a clear way to organise your thinking and the confidence to follow through.

Maureen created a wonderfully safe and supportive environment. The course offered plenty of opportunities to practise, which allowed me to build confidence week by week.
— Marina Le Menn

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes, most participants are. This programme isn't for people in crisis about their speaking.

It's for capable professionals who hold back when they need to speak up or present, and want to change that.

If you're good at your job and want your speaking to reflect that, this is exactly the right fit.

  • In Week 1 you won't be asked to deliver a presentation - it's designed to help everyone settle in and build the foundation.

Your first short presentation comes in Week 2, and from there you build gradually each week. Most people find the group itself becomes a source of confidence rather than anxiety.

  • Everyone in the group has signed up for the same reason - they want to feel more confident speaking up and presenting at work.

Participants come at different levels and from different backgrounds, and that mix is part of what makes the learning richer. Nobody is there to judge.

  • Many people initially wonder whether they can commit to six weeks. What they often discover is that the weekly structure gives them time to practise between sessions and build confidence gradually.

The sessions are 90 minutes, once a week, and most participants say it's one of the best uses of that time.

  • One-to-one coaching gives you individual focus - that's what the Own the Room programme is designed for.

What the group format adds is something different: practising in front of real people, getting feedback from peers as well as from me, and building confidence in a setting that more closely mirrors the situations you'll face at work.

For many people, the group experience is what makes the shift stick.

  • Over six weeks you'll deliver three presentations and receive personalised feedback on each one. You'll also practise through the group discussions themselves. The emphasis throughout is on doing, not just learning.

  • Toastmasters is excellent for ongoing speaking practice in a community setting - I'd recommend it for that. Communicate with Confidence is different: it's a structured six-week programme focused specifically on workplace situations - presentations, meetings, speaking under pressure - with personalised feedback on your actual work.

It's a more focused experience designed to create a specific shift in a short time.

  • Six sessions, each 90 minutes, delivered live on Zoom.

  • Yes , the programme is interactive and you'll get much more from it with your camera on.

  • For maximum benefit, attending live is strongly recommended. If you unavoidably miss a session, the teaching part will be recorded for you. If you know in advance that you'll miss more than one session, the next cohort may be a better fit.

  • Participants come from a range of industries and backgrounds. Some want to feel more confident speaking up in meetings, others have presentations coming up, and some are stepping into more visible roles. Most are already capable professionals who want their communication skills to reflect the quality of their work.
